Rabbi Yisroel Eliezer Adler: A Leader in the Dzjikov-Vizhnitz Dynasty
Rabbi Yisroel Eliezer Adler, born on January 9, 1956 (25 Tevet 5716), serves as the Admor (Hasidic leader) of Dzjikov-Vizhnitz. He is the son of Rabbi Naftali Chaim Adler, a son-in-law of Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager of Vizhnitz, and Rebbetzin Hinda. Rabbi Adler is a descendant of the prominent Dzjikov and Vizhnitz Hasidic dynasties, continuing their rich traditions in his community based in Beit Shemesh.
Early Life and Education
Rabbi Adler grew up immersed in Torah study and the Hasidic way of life. He was a student of his grandfather, Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager, and his uncle, Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager. Additionally, he studied under the Slonim Rebbe, Rabbi Shalom Noach Berezovsky. Known for his sharp intellect and deep Torah knowledge, Rabbi Adler became a central figure among Vizhnitz Hasidim in Rehovot.
The Establishment of Dzjikov-Vizhnitz Hasidut
Following the passing of his uncle, Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager, the Vizhnitz Rebbe, in 2012, Rabbi Adler was crowned as the Admor of Dzjikov-Vizhnitz. The coronation took place in the Vizhnitz synagogue in Rehovot, in a historic and emotional ceremony. Rabbi Adler later relocated the center of his Hasidic court to Beit Shemesh, where he continues to lead his community with dedication.
Torah Leadership and Public Activity
Rabbi Adler combines his role as a spiritual leader with a deep commitment to Torah scholarship. He delivers Torah lectures, leads Hasidic gatherings (tishen), and provides guidance to his followers and others who seek his counsel. His leadership emphasizes the preservation and dissemination of Dzjikov-Vizhnitz teachings while fostering a strong sense of spiritual growth and connection among his Hasidim.
